Product Details

VeeGee Scientific® Specific Gravity Hydrometer gives the ratio of the mass of a solid or liquid to the mass of an equal volume of distilled water. The base hydrometer scale is specific gravity; distilled water equal 1.000 as the initial point. Liquids lighter than water are scaled below 1.000 specific gravity and liquids heavier than water are scaled above 1.000 specific gravity. The standard calibration is 60°F.
