Rated 5 out of 5 by Worked great! I drove my Yukon through chipseal/tar roadwork and got a light mist splattering of tar on my windshield and the front end of my truck. I took it through the car wash 48 hours later and nothing was removed by the car wash "bug spray"---but at least my truck was clean when I went after the tar splatters with this product. It worked great!!! I just sprayed it on the splattered areas, left it on for about 3 minutes, and it dissolved the tar and leftover bugs without much wiping from me. It smelled good too. I was VERY impressed! Thank you! August 6, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Fails to Remove Bug Residue I purchased this product, in hopes it would "Easily Remove Bug Residue". I first cleaned and scrubbed the bumper with a brush. After it dried I applied the material as per directions, and after 1 min. it failed to remove the bug residue. I then applied the product for 15 min., again it failed to "easily remove bug residue. I finally did it the old fashion way "Mr. Clean, brush, and elbow grease!!!!" August 4, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Doesn't Work to remove bug splatter. I wanted a product to remove bug spatter before I waxed. I bought this because the Turtle Wax name is synonymous with quality. Unfortunately this product does not work to remove bugs. I attempted to remove bugs from the bumper, mirror backs and hood with horrible results. I repeated the procedure several times, leaving it on longer each time, but the bugs were still there. July 30, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Didn't do anything but create a bigger mess I have a 2014 CRV and an 04 SRT10 that I bought a bottle each for. We had a tree that after some rain decided it needed to rain sap on our car.We followed the directions. After numerous times of Spray, Wait and Wipe (peel sticking towel off vehicle) we repeated until both bottles were exhausted. Now I have a brown and black car with white sap marks on them.Little sap spots have now turned into white smears onto the finishes of my vehicles. July 27, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Does not work well I have a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country that is silver. My wife encountered some road oil that left small spots of oil on the paint. It also had bugs on the front end from night driving. I bought the Bug & Tar remover. The instructions said to spray it on & wait one minute then just wipe it off with a microfiber towel. I sprayed this on the sides & front of the van & then tried the towel to no avail. No oil or bugs coming off. So I waited a little while longer. Same results. I finally got my bug scrubber & started scrubbing the oil off. This worked but not very well & took a lot of elbow grease on the oil. I finally got to the front end with the bugs & same result. This was after it had soaked 20-30 minutes. I finally washed this product off & sprayed Bleach White on the bugs. They instantly started rubbing off with little effort. Not at all what I expected & will never buy again. July 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Effective; easy to use I have been using this product to remove "bug kill' on the front bumper accumulated after driving through country roads. It works rapidly and "wisks" them away. June 28, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bug and tar remover I own a 2011 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic I purchased the Bug and Tar remover hoping that it would do the job. After 2 applications and letting it set for quite some time on the second application your product failed. June 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent!! I use this on my Harley and other vehicles to get bugs, tar, and grime off of painted and chrome surfaces. I have even removed paint over spray, and baked on heel marks or asphalt from chrome exhaust pipes on semi trucks and motorcycles. It works great to remove soap scum and grime in a really nasty fiberglass type shower. I always use this product on spots before washing. Then on the whole vehicle after washing to make sure that anything left behind that soap wont remove is gone. It makes wax much easier to apply and gives the wax a clean surface so you are not rubbing dirt into your paint and contaminating your wax with dirt or oxidization from old paint. The only thing that I do not like is the spray bottle and I wish that it was still in the can with the lid. I find it best to spray it on soft cotton cloth or a sponge applicator and apply it by hand in the shade on a cool surface. Sometimes you have to let it soak on nasty stuff and use a little elbow grease. Great product, just please bring back the bottle it used to come in. Thanks again Turtle Wax May 21, 2015
