Product Details

The Predator Series was made for hunters who demand all-around capability in their optics - mobility without weight, ease of use, and bright picture in any light. With its lightweight roof prism design, game-revealing CAT™ (color adjusted transmission) coatings and excellent low-light performance, this is the ideal choice for turkey hunters, bowhunters, black powder enthusiasts, and anyone who hunts the early season or in heavy cover. The optimized light transmission helps provide brighter images, even in low light. Model has the Fast-Close-Focus™ system that allows easy and quick focusing. Features the N2 injection™ system that seals dry nitrogen into the optic for fog proof clarity even in extreme weather. Binoculars have a lightweight Makrolon® housing to help resist impacts.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 17reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Clarity These binoculars are a step above my Nikon Monarchs. The glass is slightly cleareralthough the Nikons are a few ounces lighter. Overall these are great - you have to spend a lot more to get better binoculars than the Predator. August 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Bino for the price I am impressed with these binoculars, bought them for hunting but have used them only on a trip to Yellowstone and around the house. I really enjoy the shaped eye cups as they cut down on the peripheral light on bright days reducing eye strain. The focus system is awesome, once you set the diopter you don't have to adjust it again, no matter what distance you are looking. The fast focus requires only minor movement for objects near to far. The objective lens covers are clipped to the binocular which is another great feature as you don't have to fumble around with them or worry about losing them and can keep them on in the field. View is crisp, clear, and you don't get the bubble affect when looking left to right, the CAT coating hardly affects the true color of objects. The eye cups, focus system, and clipped on objective lens covers are my favorite features and really save time when trying to focus in on an animal. August 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product has great features. I bought my new binoculars this past July. They are light weight and easy to focus. They were great at three ballpark, but in love them best for backyard bird watching!I love the close-ups of the birds that allow one to see the irredentist colors on birds wings, or to see the humming birds lap up their nectar. Rated 4 out of 5 by Good glass Very good binocular if a little heavy. It is very clear and is well protected from damage. June 17, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by optics almost too good focus on these binoculars is very very exact requires fine focusing as you scan various ranges as small as 20 yard differences, but boy can you see! One problem is you have to send the entire binocular for warranty repair even for something so minor and a replacement rubber fitting on the eye piece. June 3, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not as clear as they use to be. I purchased my 10x42 predators about 2 weeks ago. This is the 4th pair of Steiner optics that I have owned. Merlins 8x42, Predator 10x42, Predator 8x22, and Predator 10x42s. The pair I recently purchased does not seem to have as clear of a field of view as my older pairs did. April 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by I bought my 10x42 stein eras about six years ago in South Africa (so the price was a little inflated) and have used them consistently since. They have been lugged around everywhere, experiencing bumps and knocks and getting dusty and dirty. They have never been anything but wonderful. Often, when being passed back from a friend using them(usually to see an interesting bird) they are accompanied by a comment that " these are great glasses" a feature that is not appreciated is that the eye cups not only keep out light but also act as a steady post against the face. I would only ever buy steiners again when these ever give up! April 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Predator 10x42 I bought these a couple of months ago and haven't really had a chance to test them in the field. I'm a big hunter and the Predators are suppose to make it easier to pull the animals out of the surrounding terrain. I have looked through them and the optics are very crystal clear and stand up to any of my more expensive , which are all German optics by the way. They are compact and light weight which is a big plus, because hunting in Arizona is mainly spot and stock we don't sit in tree stands all that much. A lot of hiking and glassing. I can't wait until this fall when hunting season opens again and I can put these guys to the test. March 9, 2015
