- Product Description
Hazardous-location portable evaporative coolers have sealed switches, cords, motors, and pumps to prevent sparking while delivering cool, humidified air to potentially hazardous environments. They are rated for Class 1, Division 2 areas where flammable gases, vapors, and liquids are handled or used within enclosed containers or systems, but are not normally present in concentrations high enough to be ignitable. They're commonly used in chemical plants, refineries, fuel depots, and garages. These wheeled swamp coolers pull in warm surrounding air, pass it through wet media to remove heat, and blow out the cooled air. They require regularly draining and cleaning the water tank and allowing the media to dry thoroughly between uses to prevent odors and clogging from sludge buildup.
