Customer Reviews

High Speed Steel Quick Change Hole Saw Arbor, Hex, 1/4 In dia. x 3-1/2 In L Pilot Drill Size is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice tool poor instructions Poor explanation. I spent time trying to unscrew the set screw until I found out that the set screw must be left alone. I am glad I found out online before I bought an allen wrench to remove the set screw and ruin the tool. It is a great tool once I learned how to use it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I returned it. I agree with other comments here - product needs to come with instructions. I could not slide the collar out of the package, so made the mistake of loosening the small allen screw, after which the spring and ball bearing popped out and disappeared. I returned the product to the retailer. I also do not know whether I need the 3/8 or 1/2 version. Product simply needs instructions!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product, once use explained I agree with other commenters, it should not be necessary to remove the smaller set screw. This screw holds small ball bearing and spring that make the quick-disconnect feature work. Because of inadequate instructions with point-of-sale packaging, I too, took out the smaller set screw (larger set screw holds twist drill) only to have the ball bearing fall to floor and I never did see a spring. I had to return the original item to my retailer. I wonder how many get returned before Milwaukee Tool will agree to improve packaging instructions for what is otherwise a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use and Strong This was included in the Milwaukee 14 piece bi-metal hole saw set. Simply pull back the collar, thread on the hole saw and push the collar back. The threads are very good quality and clean, so the hole saw spins on effortlessly. Best of all, NO TOOLS REQUIRED! There is no need to remove the allen screw, it just destroys the arbor.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lost parts My only complaint would be that the set screw design for holding the arbor in place is not intuitive. One of my workers lost the ball bearing and spring the first time useing it. I'll purchase a new arbor and give specific instructions to workers who might try to use it in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Use I know it's not that intuitive, but to use this you need to pull the collar to expose the shank where your hole blade will fit. Once you screw it on, then push the collar back to lock the blade in place. Took all of 1 minute to figure this out and there's no need to remove the allen screw. Good luck folks and hope this helps.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't get it to work I removed the Allen screw and can't get the bit and the arbor back together again. So I can't use it. Very frustrated and disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So glad I read the reviews! I bought the 4" hole saw for sutting light fixture boxes and the quick change arbor to fit it. It says pull to release on the package, but fails to mention you must first loosen the allen screw in the tool free design statement. Didn;t feel so dumb after reading the other comments in the reviews.
