M18 Li-Ion 1/2 In Cordless Drill/Driver Kit, Battery Included is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thist is a good tool - I happened to get two that were not Production shop work, Maintenance, Security, Building utility trailers, Demo work, Teaching. I have been impressed with the brand name. Tool use and tool abuse walk a fine line. Mime are worked hard and well taken care of. Purchased the M18 red lith. Drill Driver. It ran noisy and very hot. Got a replacement and it ran hot, noisy and the bit stuck in the chuck. Upgraded to the Impact Driver and Hammer Drill Driver Kit.... While still 'new' I am thinking this is what I should have done in the first place. Now have 5 drills, three chargers, 8 batteries, and using at least 3 Recip saws. The circular saw is not used much because I deal in thicker hardwoods. All of my tools run long and hard. On occasion, I have had to deal with the company via email.... reasonable response time, to the point, helpful and solved the problems each time.... GOOD TOOLS, TRUST and TIME are values to seriously hold close. Any tool can bit you, Any tool can malfunction most will, sooner or later, die... At this point they will likely out work and out live me. /

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for occasional home use Not the drill to own for occasional household projects because the battery will not keep a charge unless its used frequently. My batteries would not hold a charge after not using the drill for a year. Milwaukee says that the batteries have to be "exercised" frequently or the battery will lose its capacity from lack of use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Compact Drill. Poor Brush Life. I have had this drill for about a year and a half now and have been mostly pleased with it. I am in Industrial Maintenance and use this guy for everything from hanging blinds to drilling holes in steel. The only downside is that the drill started to not work off and on, only to find that the brushes are worn down to a point where they are having trouble contacting the commutator. I would have expected a better brush life but maybe its because I use this drill just about every day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shoulda bought anther brand. While the drill is comfortable and powerful, the charged battery use time seemed less than my old 9.6V drill. After a couple months the batteries quit fully charging. Now one is not chargable and the other only charges to 60% giving about 10 minutes of useful work time, if that. I'd get the 4 hour Red Lith. battery if it didn't cost so much and I wasn't afraid I'll have the same problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Long time Milwaukee user not impressed My first drill never saw action when tightening the chuck first gear slipped out and never produced any torque. I returned it and got the same drill with the 2650-20 impact driver. After drilling 4 (1 1/8") holes the same thing happened and i lost first gear, I'm now going to send it to Milwaukee tools for warrant repair . on the other hand i am extremely satisfied with my impact far as the 2601-20 drill driver not so much

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lithium battery defective Used Milwaukee cordless drill & lithium battery to drill holes in 2x4s. After one use the battery refused to hold a charge. Cannot locate my receipt (purchased less than 6 months ago and had not used it until now) so I guess I'm stuck with two very expensive holes that I drilled!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again I have used this drill and the 2650-20 impact driver that came in the kit with it. the only down side on both of these items is the rear air venting. the user tends to cover them when pushing down on the tool. They both have plenty of torque and are lightweight but if you cover the rear vents they tend to get hot quickly.
