Rated 2 out of 5 by Plenty Powerful--Needs Vac Port/Blower And Trigger On Lock Really wanted to like this jigsaw, as I have been quite happy with 5-6 other M12 tools I own. Main problem is the lack of blower or vac port. Difficult to see the cut line on curves, not a problem if you use an edge guide or straight edge, but most of us use a jigsaw to cut curves. Second issue is that while there is a "safety" trigger lock, a trigger "on" lock needs to be added for use on longer cuts of 2' or more--long arcing curves. Call me limp wristed, but cutting decorative curves on hardwood will turn your hands into useless claws after 8 linear feet of continuous cutting, having to hold the trigger down and guide the saw will get wearisome quickly. Other than that, with the right blade, all my cuts in 1" hardwoods have been plumb and/or straight as the cut requires. Plenty of power, but a pendulum action would be welcome on the next redesign. Rated 1 out of 5 by Worthless Because there is no dust collection, the sawdust piles up in front of the blade and makes it impossible to see your cut-line. November 10, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Tool This little jig saw is so handy. Most of my jobs have been renovation lately and this puppy gets the job done. Has enough power to cut 2x material and is still controlled enough to follow a curved cut line on sheet goods. I find myself reaching for it more then i ever thought I would to save time. Great tool you wont regret the purchase. August 19, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by NOT particularly good! When did "Cool Idea" and "First to Market" replace "Quality well designed tool" As a quick use rough-cut jigsaw I suppose it's fine but two major cons: The blade wanders in a cut like no other jig saw I own. (Makita & Bosch) I can't get a straight cut without a noticeable blade bevel (Blade flex) in 3/4" material no matter what blade I use. (Even with the great Bosch Progressor blades) Great concept and handy at times but what good is a jig saw where the blade wanders during a cut. I generally like the m12 lineup mostly because of variety of tools but have been disappointed at the implementation of some of the designs and the quality. I have had to return warranty 3 of my M12 tools within a year for stupid malfunctions. The hammer drill had a bad trigger switch and the jig saw above had a led light that stays on whenever a battery is in it. and my Hackzall overload froze the tool. I'm a 25 year veteran cabinet maker... May 30, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the M12 Jig Saw The handle is the best I have ever found on a jig saw. Easy to control. Love the blade lock. This is a really fun tool to use. Would be better if cooling air out of the motor would blow the dust away from the cutting area. March 30, 2012
