Rated 1 out of 5 by Save your Money Had not used these particular batteries for about 1.5 years, they wont charge at all now. complete waste of money, in total may have only charged the about 15 times each. The old NiCd's have better life and performance than! Extremely unhappy with them , out of warranty now September 12, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bad deal don't last Used this with a hammer drill I really like. Original batteries were nic ad that wore out then I purchased a replacement set with charger that were lithium ion. At first they were great but then I hardly used the drill for quite awhile. Then both batteries won't charge or work at all! Now the batteries are triple what they should be and you can't find them except for cheap knockoffs. Many years I swore by milwaukee tools, now I have no use for any of milwaukee products because of this type of treatment. Since when did this company decidedly forget about past product support? Rated 1 out of 5 by V18 gives Milwaukee a bad rep Don't confuse this V18 with the M18! Batteries have short charge life, drill is large and HEAVY/BULKY, if you stall the drill the batteries "trip out" and have to be recharged to work again. I needed a drill for drilling steel(up to 1/2"), I figured given this drill's size, weight and 18V batteries it would be a good HD drill. Not so. The drill only has adequate power compared to other, physically smaller(lighter), 18V drills I've used(Dewalt/Makita). The worst part is that when the drill really starts to work hard, or if the bit grabs and stalls the drill, the batteries "trip out" and have no power. The meter reads zero even if it just came off the charger. The only way to bring the battery back is to recharge the battery, 15-20min. VERY annoying! The good part is you'll never wear the drill out as you can never over work it. This drill is now kept in my RV for running the stabilzer jacks up and down and I have switched to Makita 18V products. BTW this drill replaced a much older 12V Milwaukee model that I just loved but couldn't get batteries for anymore. I doesn't work nearly as good as that old drill did. August 30, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't buy into the V18 I was interested in the V18 series of batteries and chargers for my NiCd 18v tools. It would be worth it to have the newer, lighter more powerful LiOn V18 batteries. Only one problem... Milwaukee abandoned the V18 line of tools and accessories. You can find the batteries, but the chargers (there is only one that works 48-59-2818) and it is "discontinued." Shame on Milwaukee for not supporting this transition product which would have extended the usefulness of the NiCd/NiMh toll line. August 30, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Batteries don't last for the money I do hvac, plumbing, and for a living and these 18v batteries are junk! I have 6 of them and only one lasts more than 5 min. I was told to do different ways to make them last, but nothing would work. Now, all my batteries are past warranty and I don't want to buy anymore. Wished I didn't buy these to begin with. VERY UNHAPPY!!!! January 17, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by JUNK I have been trying to use this product for 5 years now and I am finally getting around to being able to afford to throw this piece of junk in the trash. The batteries are junk, you cant even cut one 1" hole with a hole saw thru 1/4 metal without it freezing up on you multiple times. I have always been an avid user of DeWalt and Makita, but I wanted to give Milwaukee a shot. I will never buy another Milwaukee again. July 28, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Buy it at your own risk I use the product in my hobby of building and repairing furniture. Also driving Lag bolts into concrete, and repairing step railings. July 9, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by V-18 Lithium-Ion I've owned numerous 18 volt Milwaukee tools for nearly two decades and had great luck with the old 18 volt batteries. When these batteries were recalled I traded in my drill (literally warn out) and 6 batteries for the new improved 18 volt lithium-ion. The new style batteries are complete junk and I'm considering starting over with a new Brand. My tools themselves are professional grade and work well (some nearly 20 years old) but the most expensive part (batteries) have lead me to a sour taste about Milwaukee. April 15, 2014
