Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 4reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Must Have for Owner Operators Bought this impact wrench 3 months ago and am amazed at the power this tool has. I have taken well over 50 tires off of International Prostars and 53' trailers. Fastens up to 750 ft. lbs, I couldn't believe it until I put a 4 ft torque wrench on and every nut didnt budge before it clicked. Batteries usually last me 3-4 tires per charge including studs (Stud-pilot wheels). Makes working on the undercarriage of trailers and trucks on the go very easy. I am in shock of how powerful this tool is, and have shown everybody I know who operated large trucks the tool and have had nothing but shocking reactions. Great tool for the road, especially owner operators. Tire service came a couple of weeks ago to change a tire, and he fired up his onboard compressor and broke out a 1" air gun, I told him to hold up and took the tires off myself, he was absolutely shocked at the power. I am just at a loss of words at how well this tool handles the toughest of jobs. I have not been able to find a nut I can not break yet, and have had people bring me to trucks that had been sitting for decades and they couldn't believe how easily it removed the nuts. The compact design also allows you to put the tool with only a socket directly into the rear wheel wells without needing an extension. This is so much easier than dragging out the 1" air wrench and dragging out the large air hose. Batteries charge in a good amount of time, and last very long if not being used hard. If I am tightening only and not busting frozen 1 1/2" nuts the battery seems to last forever. Today I took off one tire, put a new on on the rim and put it back on all torqued to 700 ft lbs (which I checked with torque wrench), and still had 3/4 battery bars left. Milwaukee has revolutionized 18v impact wrench technology. And compared to competitors the price was outstanding. I can't say enough good things about this tool. September 1, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Would not torque above 250 ft-lbs I bought this unit for use in a heavy repair shop for railroad rolling stock. It did not remove or apply sufficient torque when used. So we did some in house testing. On mode two after running the gun on a 3/4 SAE Bolt, Coarse Thread, using a 1-1/8 impact socket, 3/4 drive. Ran up the nut all the way onto the bolt till the socket would not turn any more. Then changed batteries to a fresh fully charged battery. Ran it on the nut for another 10 seconds for good measure. Set 3/4 drive torque wrench to 300 Ft-Lbs. The nut turned 1/4 rotation before click. So it was much less than 300 Ft-Lbs. This is NO WHERE NEAR the 750 ft-lbs advertised. Also when attempting to remove a 1 inch nut (SAE, coarse thread) tightened to 600 Ft-Lbs, WITH MOLYCOTE (never seise) applied to the thread before tightening. Unit would not remove nut. It seems great for lug nuts on somebody's car, but not for any type of heavy work. February 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by awesome tool My boss ordered one of these for heavy use on the farm. I figured it would be unimpressive as we have a dewalt 110 impact that doesn't have much torque at all. Wow we use this thing all the time its so handy to grab and it has huge power! It is so useful I just bought one last night to use around the house. We tighten big bolts with this and think we should check them with a break over bar and the bolts are already as tight as we can get them. July 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by I should be on commission I am a maintenance technician for the pipeline every other technician is looking to buy one for their truck and all it took was one 6" 600 flange that the guys were tryingto take a part with a 3/4" air impact .they all laughed when I brought out my Milwaukee 3/4" impact bet me that it would never out do an air impact it not only took them off but it could put them in tighter than the air impact! the bolts were 1" nuts were 1" 5/8 sense then I have used it on nut sizes up to 2"3/8 no large air compressors to lugg around! a good power inverter 4 4.0 batteries and I can handle most everything i need to in the field thanks for the help out here in the field Milwaukee tool do wish that I could find a rubber boot protecter for it June 21, 2014
