- Product Description
Right-hand spiral-flute carbide chucking reamers pull chips out of the hole as they enter the workpiece, which helps prevent damage to the tool and the workpiece. They are used for reaming blind holes and are suitable for applications with interrupted cuts, such as keyways. Spiral-flute reamers leave a smoother finish on the hole than straight-flute chucking reamers. The bright finish on these carbide chucking reamers is unaffected when the reamers' cutting edges are resharpened. These reamers enlarge a hole to an exact size for a precise fit when installing fasteners or other parts, and they have a straight shank that mounts to the chuck of a drill press or similar machining tool.
