Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 5reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by MY PETERSEN DEWITT 11R LOCKING C CLAMP BACK IN 2010 A FRIEND OF MY UNCLE'S IN ZANESVILLE OHIO WAS SHOWING ME HIS TOOLS. HE SHOWED ME THE PETERSEN DEWITT 11R LOCKING C CLAMP AND ASKED ME IF I HAD EVER SEEN ONE. I TOLD HIM NO HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE I ASKED HIM WHERE I COULD GET ONE LIKE IT CAUSE I COULD USE IT FOR SHARPENING MOWER BLADES WHILE CAMPING ON WEKENDS. MY UNCLE'S FRIEND GAVE ME HIS PETERSEN DEWITT 11R CLAMP AND TOLD ME TO PUT IT TO USE WHILE SHARPENING MOWER BLADES. HE HAD ABOUT FIVE OF THSE IN HIS TOOL BOX. I HAVE USED THIS TOOL ALL THE TIME SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT. THEN ON 3/24/15 A NEIGHBOR OF MINE HAD A PETERSEN DEWITT 11 R LOCKING C CLAMP I ASKED HIM IF HE WANTED TO PART WITH IT I TOLD HIM I COULD REALLY USE IT IN MY TOOLBOX AT MY CAMPER TO CLAMP MOWER BLADS TO A PICNIC TABLE TO SHARPEN THEM WITH A FILE. THAT WAY I DIDNT HAVE TO KEEP BRINGING MY ONE I ALREADY HAVE BACK AND FORTH FROM MY HOUSE TO MY CAMPER. I ENDED UP GETTING MY NEIGHBOR'S 11R LOCKING C CLAMP I ENDED UP TRADING A OLD BRINK AND COTTON 12" BIG C CLAMP TO GET THE VISE GRIP ONE . I HARDLY USED THE BIG BRINK AND COTTON C CLAMP AND KNEW I WOULD USE THIS VISE GRIP ONE ON A MORE REGULAR BASIS ALL THE TIME. I WILL PROBABLY FIND MORE USES FOR THE 11R VISE GRIP LOCKING C CLAMP FOR MORE THAN JUST MOWER BLADES WHILE CAMPING ON THE WEEKENDS. March 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by perfect every time I have used cheaper copies in the past but the Irwin range which I have 2 of every regular and swivel pad in the range are THE BEST. I am a metal worker restoring Aston Martin DB4/5/6 and have found these on the bench every day. November 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by High quality Irwin in my opinion is the original clamp producer, and they're 11R is the standard in all of the welding companies I've been with. I would definitely recommend Irwin clamps for any kind of job where it needs clamping power. September 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by strong and versatile First touch was in Israel, when i work with a guy who have these for a long time, and after all after so many years,it was like new.good job September 6, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by leading hand I've bought and used the 11R for thirty years; the only reason I have to buy new ones is when I loose one. But the last one I bought was a real let down - the jaw-opening is less than half what it was on the previous examples of the identical model. Evidently there's subtle variations in the lever ratios, but here I have a tool with very limited use simply because it won't open wide enough to get on the job. I hope that tool wasn't the new standard, but how do I check new tools when Irwin locks them up in tamper proof packaging? April 21, 2010
