Customer Reviews

Pipe Clamp,0 to 600 Nominal Clamping Pressure is rated 1.8 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolute Garbage! Very dissatisfied. I was looking for Pony clamps to add to my clamp collection. Bought four 1/2' Irwin clamps and pipe since the tool sales store only had Irwin. Found that they will not stay on the pipe, cock under clamping pressure, very loose on the pipe, and the wood work piece pops out. Waste of my time bringing them home. Brought them back and got my money back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bar clamps I have about 20 of the 1/2" clamps. Have had them for over 6 years now and made many cupboards and all sorts of projects. Great price for the quality, I am an Irwin fan on their products, great quality products. I have had 3 clamps break on me where the clamp face pin has broke on the adjustable clamp. No big deal, just knock out broken roll pin and put another one in. I will keep buying more of these and other Irwin clamps for my collection.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design and quality This product does not clamp to the pipe well and slips when tightening making a waste of money. I am very disappointed with the quality and have wasted my money on this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolutely useless I have the first generation (?) of these clamps. The difference being that the "fixed head" can slide along the pipe as well as the floating end. Sounds like a great idea until you realise that the handle cannot be turned if it is slid down the pipe as the handle collides with the pipe. Trying to keep the head in the proper location at the end of the pipe with the slipping clutches is impossible. When removed from the pipes the clutches also have a tendency to fall out of the head. The engineer of this item obviously never tried to use it. Other than the nice blue paint job there is nothing good about these clamps. Stay Away - get the Pony's

Rated 3 out of 5 by from convenient if your pipe is not threaded You need to make sure the fixed end is pushed firmly on to the pipe. my biggest complaint is it needs a wider base for stability and pads on the clamps

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Grip I bought 8 sets and I cant get them to grip on the 3/4" pipes that I have. Looks like I have to modify the pipes to get a grip. Not a great design

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good after a hack Had a lot of frustration because the clutch kept slipping on the fixed side. Tried to find a solution but couldn't find it, even tried to grind groves but that didn't help. A reviewer suggested adding duct tape to increase the thickness and that worked great. Bought this type because threaded pipe is harder to find in my area

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Design I bought these clamps because I heard the Irwin name was a great brand. Out of the ox they were useless! Not threading the fixed end allows it to free spin. Thought I was doing sonething wrong, when I tried to seat the pipe the clutch and spring shot out. Definitely taking them back in the AM.
