- Product Description
Heavy-duty open metal shelving units generally are sturdier and can hold heavier items than light-duty or medium-duty open metal shelving units. They are used in industrial facilities for storing heavy tools, equipment, and supplies. Starter units can be used as standalone units. Add-on units connect to compatible starter or add-on units to create or expand a multi-unit shelving system. Each add-on unit shares posts with the unit it connects to, which saves space compared to placing multiple standalone units side by side. The shelving units include braces that bolt to their posts to stabilize them and help prevent swaying. They use clips to anchor and support their shelves on their posts, and the clips can be moved to adjust the height of the shelves on the posts.
