Low-profile lock nut rams (sometimes called pancake cylinders) have a low height when fully retracted, allowing them to be used in tight or confined spaces. They have a shorter stroke length than standard lock nut rams. Lock nut rams have an integrated locking ring that helps secure heavy loads for short periods of time.Lock nut hydraulic rams have a locking ring on the piston that can be tightened to help prevent the ram from losing height and safely support loads for short periods of time. Hydraulic rams are attached to a hydraulic pump to lift and support heavier loads than can be supported using standard cylinders.
