Rated 1 out of 5 by from We sourced this pump to use in our acetone (type of ketone). Grainger confirmed the pump was fit for this application, and we purchased one pump in February, 2017. The first pump was defective - didn’t draw proper suction that yielded a weak and inconsistent flow. Grainger quickly replaced it with a new pump at no charge. It worked for a few weeks, but started showing signs of failure. Within the first month the pump was unable to drawn enough suction to use the last third of the drum. I’m uncertain if the pumps are poor quality, or if they are not rated for use with ketones. At this point, I would not recommend this pump.
