Customer Reviews

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Prompt shipping, packaged very well. Works great. Thanks June 7, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Sturdily built. Most of the unit is made in the good ole USA, however the fan motor is made you-know-where. Placed the unit in the attic of a 200 yr old house to dissipate the heat that builds up there. Attic footprint is approx 600 sq ft with very low overhead space, well within the rated capacity of the unit. Neither the space nor the placement are ideal for venting, for various reasons. However the fan manages to move hot air out of the attic, and the thermostat works well to regulate the operation. On those really hot days, the second floor of the house is now just hot, versus VERY hot prior to having the ventilator. My big complaint is the noise. It is fairly loud, and noticeable throughout much of the house (2,500 sq ft). The room on the 2nd FL, directly below where the fan is placed, is serenaded witha droning noise while it is on, and you can hear it on the first floor, too. If I had to do it all over again (and I may, yet) I would invest another hundred $$$ or so for a quiet fan. It would make a difference. Also, I suspect a larger-capacity fan would be better suited for my less-than-ideal situation. September 20, 2012
