Clear Caulk, Acrylic, 10.1 oz. Cartridge is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 90.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Difficult and Frustrating Compared to Other Caulks This caulk is simply not worth the extra cost - it is far worse than less expensive varieties. The last time I did my bathtub at the floor line, I was able to evenly squeeze out caulk and make it look quite nice in two passes. This took something like 10 passes and doesn't look great - maintaining an even touch when squeezing the tube was nearly impossible. I wasted an extraordinary amount of caulk and time in the process. Moreover, the biscuit looks just as white as my white caulk - I should have bought the generic brand of almond-color caulk! Sorely disappointed in this product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inconsistent. Waste of Time This product does not flow well out of the squeezable tube - it was very difficult to squeeze the tube and the product "spit" out at times. The "glossy white" dried to a grey/clear in some areas (see pic). I cannot recommend this product since the installation experience and end results were both poor compared to latex or silicon caulk.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Is the color of Biscuit accurate on packaging? Just finished caulking a barhrooom vanity about an hour ago. Caulk came out white....hoping it will actually dry to the color of the packaging. Attaching images for comparison. Does the Biscuit color darken over time as it cures?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't understand what's happening I have used & sold DAP products for more years than I can remember. However, for this last project, re-caulking a shower, it really surprised me. I used the ULTRA Clear, followed directions to a "T". As it indicates, it goes on white dries clear in 7-14 days. Well, guess what, only about 50% dried clear AFTER 6 WEEKS. My wife was upset with me and I just finished removing the all the caulking, both the clear & white and am about to reapply. I would like to believe in the DAP name, so based on my background and experience and after looking at other manufacturers products, I decided to give the this one more try. If it works and dries clear, I will update this review with a more positive response, however, if it comes out like it did before, I will respond appropriately. After reading all the reviews, it seems many are pleased, but it strikes me as there are no current reviews.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a good product I've been applying caulks for over 30 years. Picked up several tubes of this to try as it seemed to be positioned as a premium product. I thought it would perform better. Very difficult to work with. Limited working time, and smoothing it was nothing short of a joke. I did short runs and I use a tool to create the bead, but almost any technique left an unprofessional finish. I guess as you drive price down to capture market share, quality suffers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This is not like normal silicone! It is hard to work with. When I was near the end I swore I'd never use tjis again. Now its 6 years later. Yes it's held up wonderfully. Now THAT it's time to redo the floor I CANNOT GET THIS SILICONE TO COME OFF!. It is stuck on so tight. I'm trying mineral spirits, WD-40... I wish they would tell me how to remove the stuff.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Read carefully - very difficult to use Have caulked my tub several times. This is by far the most difficult product I've had. The only good thing I can say is that I know not to buy again. From other reviews it appears others have had same issues and thought it would perform like other caulk. Put it on, smooth out with finger/tool. Not the case. Only good thing is that I now know not to buy this again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from sticky and messy I was looking for a white version of this tube of clear silicone sealant that I already had. When I couldn't find that in store, I bought this. It started to dry within seconds after coming out of the tube. I thought quick cure means minutes, not seconds. It started to set so quickly that I can't even get the material distributed to the entire area before I have to start smoothing it. The tube doesn't say what to use for clean up aside from a damp sponge. Water does not clean this up, and neither does rubbing alcohol which I use for my acetoxy silicone sealants. It sticks to my fingers which makes smoothing it difficult once I start working with longer sections. It doesn't work when I wet my fingers to smooth either, because the texture just ended up being inconsistent. The only way I've been able to make it look good is to use a tool where possible, do one small section at a time and then wait til it cures to scrub off the super thin excess along the sides (didn't use tape becaus of awkward placement and curves). I can't comment on the longevity of the product--so far so good but I've only used it for a day or so.
