Electric Utility Heater, 240VAC, kW 5.0/3.3, BtuH 17,060/11,372 is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Heater - would recommend Setup:Northern WI Climate.Attached 2 car garage (25.5' x 23.5') with back wall shared along house. Each side wall has a service door and a small 36" x 18" single pan window. Front wall has two 7'x10' wide insulated garage doors. Insulated the walls with R15 and ceiling with R30.I bought the heater to use for heat when i need to be out in the garage working on vehicles, snowmobiles, ATV's, or other projects. So far with the last week and the temperatures being in the 20's the garage maintains about a 40-45 degree without the heater on. When turning the heat on the air temp gets to about 55-60 degrees within 1 to 1.5 hours. Once at this temp the heat only has to cycle a few minutes on less than a handful of times per hour. It easily maintains the temperature. At this temperature I have the dial turned to approximately 1 o'clock.I would assume that in the dead of winter, if I don't use the heater for a week or so, the slab will be relatively cool and it may take a considerable more amount of time for the heater to raise the temp up to the thermostat set point. But so far I am more than impressed with the heater. Its been great to be out working in the garage in a sweatshirt building deer stands and preparing the winter toys. Even better when I look and see outside temps at 10 degrees and inside my garage at 60.The only issue I have with the heater, is the LED indicator for Power does not work. Not sure if its defective, or possibly was never wired in from the factory. I did not have any issues with fan hitting the shroud, plenty of clearance all around. It did give off quite a smell upon initial power up and let out a bit of smoke once it was turned off after the first 15 second test. I assume it was just from oil/dust from manufacturing and shipping as after running it for the full second session it no longer gave off any "hot" odors.I was on the on the fence about this heater after spending a lot of time reading reviews trying to determine if it would be large enough for my attached garage. So far it has really met my expectations and I will definitely recommend it to anyone with a well insulated 2 car garage or smaller.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from We purchased 4 of these units in October 2016. After 4 months, 1 unit started tripping the breaker. 2 other units soon followed with tripping their breaker. Each unit had its individual breaker. BEWARE of units manufactured before 20150826. The fan delay relay will burn up. Newer units are manufactured without this relay. They also have a different fan ON/AUTO switch. The Cadet website has 2 versions of an owners manual. A parts diagram on the Cadet website shows the difference between the old & new units. Cadet should not have sold any of the old units when they knew they had a defect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fan Blades Not Aligned Hitting Shroud Received The Hot One heater, got it unpacked plugged in and fan doesn't work. The fan motor is not aligned in the opening of the shroud the blades hit the bottom and can't turn. Now I have a heater that doesn't work and have to wait for Northern Tool to contact your company for resolution. Not what I expected for something that costs over $300.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Packs a lot of heat in a small form factor. When I first plugged it in I was disappointed. I expected that at a 240v the heater would throw out a very high temperature. What it does instead is much better; it move a lot of air fast so it DOES put out a lot of heat, but distributed through a lot of air.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review-the hot one bought this last fall to help keep our old house's living room 'warm.' worked beautifully all winter. had it set to low heat and not very high on the setting. there are several other cadet in wall heaters to help keep our old house here on the farm around 50 degrees inside; unless we do some craft/hobbies and then we build a fire in the quadrafire wood stove.this heater worked beaufifully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value and performance! I've had this heater in my large shop for over a year and couldn't be happier. It does a terrific job in keeping my shop warm when the outside temperatures drop to freezing and below. Even when the outside temperatures drop below zero, the heater keeps the shop warm enough to work in comfortably. I've found it easy to install, operate and it has been very reliable. Excellent value for the dollar! You won't go wrong with this heater....
