Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job. Every month we run it for a while--with a load on it. Starts right up and runs our appliances just fine.Hope we won't ever need it (who am I kidding--I live in Buffalo)but I feel more secure knowing that it's here and reliable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So glad I bought this I bought mine about 5 years ago (?). It is an 030438, and was the last one at Home Depot. I've only used it once, about 3 years ago, for 36 hours, and it worked great. When I finished with it, I ran the gas out and stuck it in my shed, which is fairly dry (no water running on contents, but not air-tight by a long shot!)We're supposed to get ice this weekend. I got the generator out, put gas in it, and by gosh, it started on the first pull. I'm a 62 year old woman and have pretty good arm strength, but not great.I am SO happy with this. It will run my pellet stove, chargers, and a coffee maker. I don't know exactly what I can run, because I haven't tried much more - as long as I have heat, charged up electronics, and coffee, I can hold out for a few days!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not sure I bought this for the DC blizzard back in January. It took taking apart the carburetor bowl and cleaning the jet ducts to get it running while outside in the cold. I run it once a month to run fuel through it and keep it in working order (this is standard PMS for the dewatering pumps we use in the Coast Guard). Went to start it again this month and again its not working. I've cleaned out the carb but the plug is blackened. I'll change the plug but if that fails I'll come back to rate as one star. The only time I actually needed it in spring it started right up (reason for two stars and not one) but other than that this thing has been a hassle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what they say it can! Had it assembled in about 4 hours with basic hand tools. Followed starting instructions which were (1) pour in provided oil (2) fill gas tank (3) turn ignition switch on (4) turn fuel stopcock to "on" position (5) set choke control to full choke (6) pull starter cord with one full motion. GENERATOR STARTED ON FIRST PULL!!! Use it to power a 12,500 BTU camper A/C unit. Does a great job under full load of A/C unit with voltage holding steady at 120 VAC.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great purchase I've had this about 2-3 weeks now. Needed to replace a competitors small generator for our off grid cabin for daily use. We already own a larger B&S generator for powering our larger power tools and well but for our daily use we needed a small one that didn't require a lot of gas. We run it early in the morning for breakfast and coffee and in the evening if the weather prevented our solar panels from adequately charging. Runs quietly and is great on gas. Powers everything we need without a problem. Great addition to our redundant power system.
