Snips & Shears
Snips and shears can cut metal, wiring, rubber, and plastic in a variety of applications. Blade disposal containers are used to collect used blades and avoid a cutting hazard from discarded blades. Duct knives, cutters, and stretchers are used to cut or pull together ductwork during HVAC installation and repair. Rescue knives and tools are used by first responders to rescue victims from vehicles. Most rescue knives feature seatbelt cutters, whistles, LED flashlights, and window punches. Rotary cutters have a circular blade that rolls across the surface of the material and cuts it, while safety utility knives feature a secure grip and recessed blades. Snap-off utility knives allow the user to snap off the dull blade with the built-in blade snapper or a pair of pliers to expose a fresh blade. Metal cutting snips and sets include tin and aviation snips.
