Choosing the Right Cleaner Based on Application

Choosing the Right Cleaner Based on Application

You may find that shopping for the perfect cleaning solution is a challenge. With so many different types of solvents out there, it’s difficult to determine which one is right for the task at hand. After all, you wouldn’t use the same cleaner for your floors and toilets, would you?

Here’s what you need to know about cleaning supplies for each application:

For drains...

Lots of gross things can end up clogging drains from hair and food residue to objects that simply don’t belong in pipes. That’s where heavy-duty unclogging solvents come in handy. Clean septic tanks with the right treatment or remove grease with a backup cleaner. Find drain cleaners based on each application to get the job done. Not every drain is the same and neither should the cleaning solution you use.

For electrical equipment...

Nearly all applications require cleaning—even ones that operate with electricity. Dirt, grime and grease residues can slow down conductivity. Regular maintenance and cleaning is a requirement for electrical systems to operate at peak performance. Electrical contact cleaners are meant to safely and efficiently clean sensitive electronics and electrical equipment.

For janitorial use...

No matter what industry you’re in, every place of business needs to be cleaned. It’s important that you provide your staff with the janitorial supplies needed to do their job (and do it well).

Stock your supply cabinets with the full spectrum of cleaning solutions from bathroom cleaners to carpet and upholstery cleaners to disinfectants and cleaners and on. Running a kitchen or restaurant? Make sure to purchase the right dishwashing soaps, detergents and rinses for your respective appliances. If you’re in hospitality services, provide your janitorial staff with laundry detergents and fabric softeners for linens. Not having the right tools and accessories to properly clean your place of business can decrease productivity and create unnecessary costs.

For general use...

It’s not only janitorial staff that needs to prioritize cleaning in a workplace. Hand cleanliness can affect a business as a whole. According to a study, workplaces equipped with hand sanitizer dispensers and wipes throughout the building can reduce certain employee health insurance claims and sick time.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend alcohol-based hand sanitizers to effectively reduce germs. However, it’s important to note that facilities need the proper policies to get employees to comply. Be sure to stock your workplace with the proper signs for each room.

Make sure your facility stocks up on all the right cleaning products for a clean and safe environment.
