Know Your NASCAR® Flags

Ten flags are used in NASCAR® racing to enable officials to communicate with drivers during a race. Each racing flag color has a specific meaning. A Flagperson stands on a perch high above the racetrack at the start/finish line, and it’s their job to display the appropriate flag when needed. For example, everyone is familiar with the checkered flag when the winner crosses the finish line. But did you know there's a blue flag with a yellow stripe that tells drivers to let faster drivers pass? Check out this infographic on the many different flags of racing and what they all mean.
