Pricing and Freight

If an order is placed through Grainger.com, prices, taxes and freight estimates that appear at the time of checkout apply only for deliveries in the United States and are not applicable for deliveries in the Dominican Republic. After the order has been placed, you will receive an e-mail from the Dominican Republic branch that reflects the final prices for your items as well as the availability of items. Once the customer confirms the prices and delivery time, Grainger Dominicana, S.R.L. will proceed to process and invoice the order. If the items ordered are in stock, the order will be shipped in 24 hours.

Terms and Conditions of Guarantee, Sale, and Delivery

  1. ACCEPTANCE OF THE ORDER: The client declares that valid orders are only those accepted and verified in writing by Grainger Dominicana, S.R.L. (from now on “Grainger Dominicana” or “Grainger”, indifferently) limited liability company organized in conformity with the laws of the Dominican Republic, located at Calle J, Unidad 4, Parque Industrial de Herrera, Santo Domingo Oeste, with its Contributor National Registry No.130783543. Additionally, the client acknowledges that making and accepting this order binds the client to the law and to the jurisdiction of the Dominican Republic.

  2. SALES: Grainger Dominicana sells its products to businesses with client numbers assigned by Grainger. In some cases not all of the products and services offered by Grainger are available in all the areas of the country and/or at every moment; the possession of Grainger’s catalog does not constitute an obligation for Grainger of the sale of its products. In order to provide better service, we recommend that you (referred as “Client”) register and obtain a “Grainger Client Number” to purchase the products that are offered in the present catalog; the registry and number can be obtained by calling Customer Service at (809) 518-5245 Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

  3. PRODUCT INFORMATION: Because Grainger only commercializes and it does not manufacture the products that it offers, the capacity of Grainger to maintain truthful and updated information on its products is limited to the information provided by the manufacturers or producers, including some industrial sources that can provide information on these products. In the case of products considered hazardous material or substances and their respective Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), these are available on the Internet site www.grainger.com_and/or through Customer Service of Grainger on the phone: (809) 518-5245. The supplier of the dangerous material or substances provides the MSDS. The information and recommendations contained in the MSDS are considered reliable; nevertheless, Grainger does not guarantee the exactitude of the information described in the Grainger catalog and/or the Internet site www.grainger.com with respect to these products, nor does it guarantee or become responsible for the content, use, and/or recommendations of the same MSDS.
    GRAINGER has tried to illustrate and to describe with accuracy products described in the catalog and on the Internet site www.grainger.com. Nevertheless, the illustrations and descriptions mentioned are only for identification and they do not establish any guarantee, express or implied, that the products are apt for a particular purpose, or that the product will necessarily correspond to the illustrations or the descriptions.   4. USE OF THE PRODUCT: GRAINGER does not take responsibility for the way in which the product is installed or used. It is the exclusive responsibility of the Client who previous to the shipment of an order and in particular to use a product, analyzes the characteristics and details of the same to make sure that the product, its application, installation, and use fulfills all the applicable operative and legal dispositions.

  5. CROSS REFERENCED INFORMATION: Comparisons between products do not imply that all the compared products are available, or that, in case of equivalent products that they are a substitute of the other or that the benefits or other characteristics are perfectly comparable or functional. It is the exclusive responsibility of the Client, reviewing before buying and using a product, to analyze the characteristics and details of the Required Accessories, Alternative Articles, or Optional Accessories to make sure that the product, its application, installation, and use fulfills their needs; also, the Client will be responsible in case of an incorrect or inadequate use of the same or caused by an erroneous selection of the required product.

 

I. LIMITED GUARANTEE: GUARANTEE “A” APPLIES TO ELECTRONIC AND ELECTRIC PRODUCTS

  1. DURATION: This guarantee will be effective for a calendar year, counted from the date of its purchase from Grainger, according to the date indicated on the invoice of the product, except in the case for systems of painting applications for heavy service, in which the duration will be three years.

  2. RANGE: Except for products in liquidation, all the products sold by Grainger Dominicana are guaranteed. The guarantee covers the new product and all its parts against any manufacture defect of the acquired product and service or repair, if it applies. The present guarantee also covers articles with normal wear for a period of thirty days as of the date of purchase from Grainger Dominicana, against material defects and service. These articles of wearing down are: filters of HVLP, motor brushes, pistol pack, seal of the pistol deposit, pistol check valve and the hoop of air flow for the pistol, admission valve without air, exit valve, pistol valve, filters, openings, all the bearings and the o-rings, as long as the product is operated or used under normal conditions of use and handling. All the products or parts that according to Grainger Dominicana have manufacture defects, will be, at the exclusive option and discretion of Grainger Dominicana, repaired or replaced.

  3. EXPIRATION: the product guarantee will expire automatically in any of the following cases: a) when the product has been used in different conditions than the normal ones; b) when the product had not been operated in accordance with the instruction manual that it comes with; c) when the product had been altered or repaired by persons not authorized by Grainger Dominicana.

  4. THEFT: The present guarantee does not cover robbery of the product.

  5. EXCLUSIONS: The present guarantee specifically excludes: a) any loss, emergent or indirect, incidental cost, or consequential of any class, including, but without limiting, compensation, reimbursement or damages at the expense of the losses of the present or future utilities or by any other reason, derivative of any defect, fails or flaw of the product guaranteed by this policy, reason why the only and exclusive resource of the buyer of any class, without mattering the legal concept, will not be more than the price of purchase of the product that has made the corresponding claim; b) articles or services normally required to maintain the product: filters of HVLP, motor brushes, pistol pack, seal of the deposit of the pistol, pistol check valve, and the hoop of air flow of the pistol, admission valve without air, exit valve, pistol valve, filters, openings, all the bearings and o-rings or any other consumable piece not specifically indicated, since these, as indicated above, will only be covered for thirty days from the original date of purchase; c) the implied warranties, including those of commercialization and suitability for a specific purpose.

  6. MECHANISM TO MAKE THIS GUARANTEE EFFECTIVE: In order to ask for the guarantee in accordance with the terms before mentioned, it will be necessary that the Client, before returning any product, calls Customer Service at Grainger Dominicana: (809) 518-5245, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, provides the date and number of the purchase invoice of the product to Grainger Dominicana, describes clearly the defect observed in the acquired product, and asks for a guarantee report number.
    Afterwards, send the product to Grainger Dominicana, making reference to the guarantee report number that was assigned. Grainger Dominicana will absorb the corresponding cost of transportation.
    In case of any doubt or problem with the shipment, report it within two days after the product should have been received. The carriers are not authorized to pick up products without the express authorization of Grainger Dominicana. Meaning, that Grainger Dominicana will not be liable for products given to the carriers without previous and express authorization of Grainger Dominicana. The property and risk of loss of acquired products are transferred to the Client at the time they are given to the carrier company. If the product was damaged in transit, the addressee will have to directly make the corresponding claim to the carrier. As an additional service, Grainger Dominicana will support the Client in the assumption of a damaged Product by the carrier, as long as the previous dispositions were followed.

 

II. GUARANTEE “B” APPLIES TO ALL OUR PRODUCTS, EXCEPT ELECTRONIC AND ELECTRIC PRODUCTS

  1. RANGE: Except for products in liquidation, all the products sold by Grainger Dominicana are guaranteed. The guarantee covers the new product and all its parts against any manufacture defect of the acquired product and service of repair, if it applies.   4. THEFT: The present guarantee does not cover robbery of the product.

  7. PRODUCT CANCELLATION OR RETURN: Any cancellation of purchase orders will have to be previously authorized by Grainger Dominicana. In this case and so that the cancellation can be originated, it will be required that the product is subject to the possibility of restocking, to be in their original packing, not to show damages and that it has been acquired during the natural thirty days immediately previous to the return request. Grainger Dominicana does not accept the return of custom products, made to measure, or commercialized over an order. The product return will be subject to shipping and handling fees that will have to be covered by the client, with the exception of faults of service of Grainger Dominicana that could appear. Returns of products in liquidation are not accepted. In order to ask for the cancellation or return of products in accordance with the terms before indicated, it will be necessary that the Client, before returning any product, call Customer Service: (809) 518-5245 Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and provides the date and number of the purchase invoice of the product to Grainger Dominicana, describes clearly the reason by which the return is asked for, and requests a corresponding report number. Afterwards send the product to Grainger Dominicana, making reference to the return request number that was assigned at the moment in which he made his report to Grainger Dominicana. The User/Client agrees that any balance that could be in its favor derived from the operations of transaction and/or product returns will be applied within the three months following to the date of its generation. If said balance on its favor is not applied or the user/client does not ask for this balance within the term before indicated, this balance or its surplus will be subject to cancellation, and Grainger Dominicana will not be liable to later carry out its reimbursement.

  8. DOCUMENTS THAT PROTECT MANUFACTURERS GUARANTEES AND/OR LITERATURE OF SALES: All the products commercialized by Grainger are of resale or distribution. Additionally to the guarantee granted by Grainger, the majority of products listed in this catalog are guaranteed to the Client directly by their manufacturer or producer. Those guarantees are given along with the product and generally cover the manufacture defects of products during a year from their purchase to Grainger according to the date indicated in the purchase invoice of the product, unless otherwise established in the policies of guarantee of the manufacturer. As an additional service, Grainger will be able to ask the manufacturers or producers for copies of the guarantees of its products and will provide them to the Client without any cost when asked for them. Grainger can also provide pamphlets of sale and other literature provided by the manufacturer or producer. When providing this service, Grainger does not assume any responsibility on the content of the policies of guarantee or the literature of sales of the manufacturer or producer of the products.

  9. PURCHASE TERMS: The acceptance of any purchase order is subject to the acceptance on behalf of the Client of each and every one of the terms and conditions established in the General Terms of Use, the Terms of Purchase and the Request of Inscription that can be obtained in detail in our Internet Site www.grainger.com or through our Department of Customer Service on the phone 809 518 5245- The express acceptance of the same on behalf of the Client will be presumed, by the reception of any purchase order of the Client in Grainger Dominicana or the acceptance of the totality or part of the goods or services requested by the client. Any other terms and conditions otherwise established are expressly rejected, and no addition or modification of the terms and conditions will be obligatory for Grainger unless Grainger expressly allows it in writing.

  10. ANTI-CORRUPTION: Customer is aware that Grainger’s business practices prohibit bribery and corrupt behavior in any form. Customer agrees that it is an independent contractor and it is and shall remain in compliance with all applicable laws that relate to money laundering, terrorism, commercial or official bribery or dealing with government officials (including the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the U.K. Bribery Act). Customer shall not offer or provide anything of value (cash or cash equivalents, gifts, loans, travel, entertainment, or any other similar benefit) either directly or indirectly to any government official for the purpose of influencing any act or decision in connection with the purchase and resale of the products ordered from Grainger. Customer shall not pay a gratuity, bribe or inducement to any government official, even if it appears customary or consistent with prevailing business practices

  11. LAW AND JURISDICTION: The present agreement is governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic. For everything that is not stipulated in the present agreement, the Dominican laws will be in effect. In the same way, all controversy, disputes or claims caused by the execution of this agreement corresponds to the courts of the Dominican Republic.

  12. TOTAL AGREEMENT: The terms and conditions described in the Internet Site www.grainger.com named General Terms of Use, Terms of Purchase, as well as the forms, Request of Inscription, quotes, invoices and the terms and conditions of sales by catalog, are incorporated to the Terms of Purchase by reference, and constitute the total and exclusive agreement between the Client and Grainger.
