Extended Protection Plan Coverage Details
The Extended Protection Plan coverage offers our government and commercial customers an additional two to three years of coverage against product failure (either from defects in materials or from normal wear and tear) after the expiration of the standard Grainger Limited Warranty. Over 100,000 Grainger products qualify for coverage.
Customers may choose from two plans based on product price. The price of the Extended Protection Plan coverage is based on the Grainger catalog/list price of the eligible item you are purchasing.

Parts & Labor for mechanical and electrical failures on covered products. If your covered product can't be repaired, it will be replaced with a product with equal or similar features and functionality.
After you order your Extended Protection Plan coverage, you will receive your coverage documents by mail in about 30 days. There is no registration required. If your covered product fails, simply call 1-800-811-1747. Have your Grainger account number ready and our customer service representative will arrange for service or replacement of your covered product.
How do I add the Extended Protection Plan coverage?
When placing orders on Grainger.com®, it's easy to add the extended protection plan coverage. If a product is eligible for coverage, you will see a checkbox on the Item Details page and Order Form.You can also add coverage on the Checkout page. When you add the Grainger coverage to your order, the number of coverage plans will match the quantity of the corresponding product.
If ordering by phone, ask your Grainger representative to add the coverage to your order.
You can even add the Extended Protection Plan coverage to recent purchases, up to eleven months from the date of purchase. Call 1-800-Grainger or contact your local branch.

A: Products with mechanical and/or electrical components are eligible for Grainger coverage. Q: How do I obtain service or file a claim?
A: Obtaining service for your covered product is easy. For CLAIMS on purchases made on or after 07/26/2016 for Customer Service call: 1-800-811-1747. Simply provide your Grainger account number and our customer service representative will arrange for repair service or replacement of your covered product.
Q: Will my covered product be repaired or replaced?
A: If your covered item has a Grainger catalog/list price under $500, you will receive a replacement product upon qualified product failure. If your covered item is $500 or more, you will receive repair service upon qualified product failure. If your product cannot be repaird it will be replaced. Q: If I am eligible to receive a replacement product, where and when will I receive it?
A: Your product replacement can be picked up at any Grainger branch nationwide. Same-day pick up or nextday delivery may be available upon request for in-stock items for claims made prior to 2:00PM (CT). We can also ship the replacement product directly to you.
Q: Once my covered product is replaced, what coverage does my replacement product have?
A: Any product replacement fulfills your Extended Protection Plan coverage. The replacement product you receive is covered by the standard, one-year Grainger warranty. The Extended Protection Plan coverage can be added to the replacement product for additional protection beyond the standard Grainger warranty period. Current Grainger prices will apply.
Q: How many times can a product be repaired?
A: Covered products will be repaired up to the cost of the original purchase price of the product. If a product cannot be repaired, it will be replaced at no additional charge with a product of equal or similar features and functionality. Any product replacement fulfills your Extended Protection Plan coverage. However, the replacement product you receive is covered by the standard one-year Grainger warranty. Extended Protection Plan coverage can be added to the replacement product for additional protection beyond the standard Grainger warranty period. Current Grainger prices will apply.
