What is the Click2Buy Direct solution?

An integrated work order management parts ordering solution jointly offered by SchoolDude® and Grainger.com®.

I am on Grainger.com Click2Buy Welcome Page, what happens next?

You are about to access Graiger.com via Click2Buy Direct Solution. When materials are purchased using the Grainger Click2Buy Direct Solution, all material costs systematically flow through from Grainger.com to SchoolDude and are tied to the associated work orders. This eliminates the need to rekey purchasing information from Grainger.com into SchoolDude. Allowing you to spend more time focused on your job, and less time on paperwork and administrative tasks.

When you enter Grainger.com through SchoolDude (Click2Buy) for the first time, you will be asked to log into your Grainger.com account. If you have a Grainger.com account, please sign in with your user name and password.

Upon your initial Sign-In, your Grianger.com credentials & SchoolDude credentials will be linked. In the future you will not be asked for your Grainger.com credentials when accessing Grainger.com through SchoolDude.

I don’t have a Grainger.com login ID and password. What should I do?

Click the Register button on the Welcome page to complete the brief Grainger.com registration. Once you created your User ID and password on Grainger.com, please close your session and click the Grainger Click2Buy button from SchoolDude to navigate back to the Welcome page. You will be asked to provide your New Grainger.com credentials. Your Grianger.com credentials & SchoolDude credentials will be linked. In the future you will not be asked your Grainger.com credentials when accessing Grainger.com through the SchoolDude. This authentication will happen only once and will only once, and then be automatically authenticated during future visits.

Here are some key things you should keep in mind when registering:

  • If you already have a Grainger Account number, please have that handy when registering on Grainger.com. It gives you access to your Grainger Account Offline Benefits directly on Grainger.com®. Additionally, you will have visibility into your Orders, Invoice History and other information across all purchasing channels. If you are having an issue accessing your account information, chat with an agent or call 1-800-GRAINGER (1-800-472-4643).
  • It may take up to 24 hours for your account data to be fully synced with Grainger.com for security verification purposes.
  • If you would like to establish a line of credit with Grainger to use Open Account Billing on Grainger.com please contact 1-800-GRAINGER (1-800-472-4643) once you are notified of your account number.
I do not remember my Grainger.com login ID or/ password. What should I do?

If you have a Grainger.com account, but do not remember your credentials, just click the links that say Forgot your User ID? and/or Forgot your Password. You will be prompted to answer your security question. If you need additional help resetting your password, call 1-800-GRAINGER (1-800-472-4643).

I am a Grainger customer, but do not have a Grainger.com account, how do I get started?

Registration is easy. Here are some key things you should keep in mind when registering:

I provided my Grainger.com login ID and password, what happens next?

After successfully logging in, you can begin shopping on Grainger.com. As you add items to your shopping cart, the work order ID you were viewing in SchoolDude is automatically populated for the items in your shopping cart.

When materials are purchased using the Grainger Click2Buy Direct Solution, all material costs systematically flow through from Grainger.com to SchoolDude and are tied to the associated work orders. This eliminates the need to rekey purchasing information from Grainger.com into SchoolDude. Allowing you to spend more time focused on maintaining your campus and school, and less time on paperwork and administrative tasks.

I am shopping, where can I find the work order information?

After you place products in your cart, you can view and edit the work order information when navigating to your shopping cart located in the upper right hand corner on Grainger.com. You will see the work order ID displayed below the item’s description.

How do I change the work order ID that is associated to items in my shopping cart?

Navigate to your shopping cart, accessible from the upper right hand corner of Grainger.com. You will see the work order ID displayed below each item’s details with the option to change the work order ID.

You can select from the most recent 100 work order IDs in SchoolDude that are available for you. Here you can select to update all products in your cart to the same work order ID or just the selected product. To update all items in your cart with the selected work order ID, select the “Use this work order ID for all items in cart” check box.

How do I remove the work order ID that’s associated to items in my shopping cart?

Navigate to your shopping cart, accessible from the upper right hand corner of Grainger.com. You will see the work order ID displayed below each item’s details with the option to remove the work order ID.

When clicking the ‘Remove’ link, the product will not be removed from the cart, only the work order ID association.

I submitted my order, what happens next?

After a short delay, the item and order details are available in the Transactions Section of the associated work order(s) in SchoolDude.

If your order requires approval, the item and order details are available in the associated work order after your order is approved.

What Grainger order and item information will I see in the work order when I access SchoolDude?

The following product information will be available in SchoolDude: Item description, purchase order #, product cost. Links backs to Grainger.com are provided if more information is needed, such as shipping cost.

How do I check the status of my order?

This information is available in your Order History accessible from the header of Grainger.com. From SchoolDude you can click on the order number link in the work order to view the status of your order via Grainger.com.

I did not submit my order, what happens next?

Your Grainger shopping cart should contain your recently added items with associated work order IDs. You can continue shopping or proceed to submit your order.

Click the Grainger Click2Buy button in SchoolDude to navigate back to Grainger.com, or login directly to Grainger.com to access your shopping cart.

I added an item to my shopping cart, but the work order ID did not populate. What should I do?

Click the Grainger Click2Buy button in SchoolDude to navigate back to Grainger.com. Re-add the same item or another item to the shopping cart. The work order ID association should display for the item. If the issue persists please contact Click2Buy@Grainger.com.

I don’t see the Grainger Click2Buy button in SchoolDude. What should I do?

Contact SchoolDude Customer Support at 1-877-868-3833.
