Account Customization

Customize your Grainger.com experience with preferred account settings for new registrations and feature options, line level preferences, and order level settings. Preferences are applied by Admin users at the account level.

Account Customization

How to Access

  • Must be signed in to Grainger.com
  • Account Customization can be accessed from the My Account drop down at the top of Grainger.com

Account Settings

  • Define New User Registration preferences – can users self-register or is approval required
  • Set default user role for new users to Admin (full rights) or Standard (limited rights)
  • Define and review approval settings for Items and Spend Limits
  • Customize user access to features like Auto Reorder, Shared Lists, and Order History

Line Item Fields

  • Apply addition field requirements at the item level like Part #, P.O. Line #, or Special Notes
  • Customize field names and entry type – free text or pre-loaded options

Order Level Fields

  • Customize fields show on your Shipping Labels and Packing Slips
  • Fields can be set as required or optional
  • Customize field names and entry type – free text or pre-loaded options
