Gas regulators attach to cylinders or pipelines and have a reducing valve that controls or regulates the pressure of gas used to operate instruments. Gases are supplied as compressed gas in high-pressure cylinders, low-pressure cryogenic cylinders, or pipeline installations. Gas regulators do not measure or control flow.
