Order LookupRouters, Bits & Wood Shapers
Routers, bits, and wood shapers remove material from wood workpieces to cut and shape them. Corded and cordless routers are handheld or table-mount tools that spin cutting bits to profile edges, create grooves and slots, cut joints, and trace shapes. Router bits fit into router collets and rotate against workpieces to make cuts. CNC router tables support workpieces on their work surface and use a software program that controls the router to perform precise, accurate shaping and cutting. Wood shapers perform like oversized, more powerful routers to produce high-quality cuts with fewer passes for high-volume woodworking production operations. Mortising machines create straight-sided, square-cornered recesses, slots, or holes (mortises) in wood workpieces.
