14 products
Slotted screwdrivers, also known as a flat head or flat blade screwdrivers, have a flat blade tip at the end of the shaft that is inserted into the single horizontal groove (the slot) in the fastener head and the handle is turned to rotate the screw. They can come in two blade profiles: keystone and cabinet. Keystone-style screwdrivers have a slightly flared blade profile that tapers off at the end and provides extra stiffness so the screwdriver can withstand more torque. Cabinet-style screwdrivers do not have a flared blade profile so they can access screws in tight spaces and for detail use such as installing cabinetry hardware. Slotted screwdrivers can be used as tools for prying, poking holes, and other non-fastener driving applications.
