Manual crimping tools may be designed like basic pliers with crimping points in their jaws. Some are used on steel cable, electrical connections and terminations, lugs, ferrules, or plugs. Manual crimpers can crimp steel or coper ferules or sleeves to join two lengths of steel or electrical cable. Hand crimpers may be used to crimp the collars of smaller high pressure hoses. Some crimpers are specifically designed for use with voice and data electronics.
