Receptacle and ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) testers indicate problems with electrical outlets and receptacles that may lead to shock, fires, or other harmful conditions. They plug into or otherwise connect to standard outlets and use colored lights to identify the presence of electrical hazards or when receptacles are in proper working order. Select testers also measure the spring tension of outlets to ensure tight and secure connections and that critical equipment remains plugged into the outlet without becoming loose and falling out. These handheld tools help electricians and contractors identify unbalanced electrical currents, spikes, or issues related to installation and wiring that could potentially lead to dangerous conditions.

GFCI & AC Circuit Analyzers
GFCI and AC circuit analyzers are handheld instruments that connect to electrical outlets for testing and diagnostics. They read true RMS waveforms to identify voltage spikes under load, false ground, inadequate ground impedance, and other flaws which may lead to the inefficient operation of electrical equipment. They also test GFCI and EPD circuits to ensure internal safety and testing mechanisms are working appropriately. These circuit analyzers help electricians and contractors troubleshoot outlets and receptacles to improve performance and identify problems that could lead to shock, fires, and other electrical hazards.
