Clamp meters have solid, flexible, detachable, or open-style jaws that clamp, loop around, or surround conductors, wires, and cables to measure electrical currents without terminating power. They test and troubleshoot electrical equipment in industrial and commercial applications. Digital clamp meters have an LCD digital display that shows measurement data as well as more advanced features and functions than analog meters. Select meters can be paired with Bluetooth connectors and other software to save, store, and transfer data to a PC or smartphone. Digital clamp meter kits come with a meter and matching accessory items for general testing and troubleshooting applications. Analog clamp meters have an indicator needle that moves along a scale marked with units of measure to indicate current level. They are durable and do not freeze up in extreme temperatures.
