Hazard Protection Type
These overalls protect workers from hazardous dry particulates and hazardous moderate-chemical splash and spray. Dry particulates are larger in size than aerosols and include dust and dirt. Garments that provide moderate-chemical splash and spray protect against a range of organic and inorganic acids and bases, solvents, and salts found in industrial cleaning applications. They have higher breakthrough times and protect against more chemicals than garments for light-chemical splash and spray. They are worn when working with liquids under pressure in industrial cleaning applications such as caustic clean down and decontamination. Overalls (sometimes called bib overalls) are sleeveless garments that cover the torso and legs. They are held up by shoulder straps and worn with a shirt or jacket or when shoulders and arms don't need coverage.
