Medical Scissors and Shears
Medical scissors and shears cut through bandages, clothing, and other materials during exams, first-aid, and emergency-care situations. Their blade sits flush against the skin to reduce the risk of accidental nicks and cuts. Lister bandage scissors and other medical scissors have slimmer blades than medical shears and provide precise control when removing bandages and dressings or cutting through thin materials. Also known as trauma shears, medical shears have a large offset handle that increases leverage when cutting tough materials such as seatbelts, denim, and leather.
