Steering wheel lockouts display a message that lets equipment operators know that the vehicle is being worked on. These devices are an integral part of a facility lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedure designed to meet the OSHA standard for the Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout).
Steering Wheel Lockouts
These lockouts fit over steering wheels and have a printed message that informs equipment operators that the vehicle is being worked on so it is not started inadvertently. While the printed message alerts workers to the hazard, these devices do not prevent equipment from being started.
