Knit cut-resistant gloves protect workers’ hands from cuts, abrasions, lacerations, and punctures. Knit gloves are made of spun yarns and cut-resistant materials, making them breathable and formfitting. ANSI/ISEA cut levels indicate the level of protection provided by the gloves, as determined by the amount of force required for a sharp blade to penetrate the glove. Lower cut levels have a lower level of protection than higher levels, but generally allow better dexterity. Cut-resistant gloves are used wherever workers encounter sharp items, such as when installing ductwork, and handling heavy plate glass, carboard, and cut and stamped metal.
