Chemical- and impact-resistant gloves have a polymer on the outside of the glove to protect against chemicals and hazardous liquids and have plastic or rubber bumpers on the back of the hand to protect against injury caused by falling objects or heavy impact. Impact-resistant gloves meet ANSI or CE standards to indicate the level of protection provided. ANSI/ISEA tests impact to the knuckles and fingers on a scale of 1 to 3, with higher levels indicating greater protection. CE-rated gloves test impact to the knuckles only and are given a pass/fail grade. Gloves with higher levels of protection are generally thicker than gloves with lower levels of protection. Thinner gloves have a better sense of touch and less chemical resistance than thicker gloves.

A3 Cut-Level & Level 1 Impact-Rated PVC Chemical-Resistant Gloves with Polyester Liner, Supported
Purchased productsThese A3 cut-level chemical-resistant gloves have a full-dip PVC coating with a supported polyester liner and provide level 1 impact protection. Polyvinylchloride (PVC) gloves are abrasion-resistant and provide excellent resistance to acids, fats, and petroleum hydrocarbons. PVC remains flexible at a wide range of temperatures and can be used at low temperatures such as those encountered when working outdoors with refrigerated items. The supported polyester liner is lightweight, has a smooth texture, wicks moisture away from the skin, and is durable when working submerged in liquid. ANSI/ISEA impact-level 1 gloves protect against injuries caused by knocks and bumps encountered in everyday work, such as those performed in general construction and assembly. A3 cut-level gloves protect hands from light to medium cut hazards, such as those found when performing general warehouse work, working with cement blocks, and when handling plastic and light raw materials.Brands

CE Impact-Rated PVC/Nitrile Chemical-Resistant Gloves, Unsupported
Purchased productsThese CE impact-rated PVC/nitrile chemical-resistant gloves are unsupported. PVC/nitrile-blend gloves provide a liquid-resistant barrier and excellent resistance to most chemicals and oils. The blend generally provides better resistance to solvents and abrasion than PVC alone. CE impact-rated gloves have been tested on a pass/fail scale to indicate whether they protect workers from injuries to knuckles caused by impact. Unsupported gloves have a good sense of touch and are less durable than supported gloves, making them a good choice when gloves come into contact with chemicals but are not fully submerged.Brands

Level 1 Impact-Rated PVC Chemical-Resistant Gloves with Nylon Liner, Supported
Purchased productsThese impact-rated and chemical-resistant PVC gloves have a supported nylon liner. Nylon glove liners wick moisture away from the skin. They are durable, resist pilling, and produce less lint than other fibers. Supported gloves incorporate the liner into the glove for better durability over unsupported gloves, making them a good choice for tasks when gloves are fully submerged in liquid. ANSI/ISEA impact-level 1 gloves protect against injuries caused by knocks and bumps encountered in everyday work, such as those performed in general construction and assembly. Chemical-resistant gloves withstand exposure to acids, bases, solvents, and other chemicals.Brands
