Knit arc flash and flame-resistant gloves protect workers from arc flash shock and burns. Arc flash gloves are flame-resistant, but not all flame-resistant gloves are arc flash-rated. PPE category (CAT)-rated gloves (sometimes called hazard risk category (HRC)) are flame-resistant and meet NFPA 70E standards to protect workers from arc flash burns. They must be worn with other CAT-rated clothing to provide complete protection. Knit gloves are made of spun yarn, making them breathable and formfitting.

Category 2 Cut-Resistant Gloves with Neoprene/Nitrile Coating & Impact Protection

These impact-resistant category 2 cut-resistant knit gloves have a neoprene/nitrile blend coating for handling wet, dry, and oily workpieces. Category 2 gloves meet NFPA 70E standards and have a minimum arc flash rating of 8 cal/cm2. Neoprene/nitrile coatings are flexible, resist abrasion, and provide some protection against incidental heat and a range of chemicals. Cut- and impact-resistant gloves protect against lacerations from handling metal, glass, and other sharp items, as well as from impact injuries to the knuckle side of the hand caused by bumps, swinging chain, and working in tight spaces.
