Needlestick-resistant sleeves protect workers from needlesticks, cuts, and lacerations. They are often worn by recycling and sanitation workers or by workers who sort materials and are at risk for coming into contact with needles and other sharp items. ANSI/ISEA needlestick-protection level is determined by the amount of force it takes for a thin, sharp hypodermic needle to puncture the sleeve's surface. Lower needlestick levels have less puncture resistance and more dexterity than higher numbers.

Level 2 Needlestick-Resistant Sleeves with Thumbhole
Purchased productsThese ANSI/ISEA Level 2-rated needlestick-resistant sleeves have a thumbhole to prevent the sleeve from moving up the arm and exposing the wrist when tasks involve reaching and other movements. Needlestick level 2 sleeves provide light levels of protection from accidental needlesticks. They also have an ANSI/ISEA A8 cut-level rating to protect against heavy to extreme cut hazards, such as those encountered when sorting recycled glass and material, working with sheet metal, steel cable, and heavy glass windows, and in metal stamping and manufacturing tasks.Brands

Level 5 Needlestick-Resistant Sleeves with Thumbhole
Purchased productsThese ANSI/ISEA Level 5-rated needlestick-resistant sleeves have a thumbhole to prevent the sleeve from moving up the arm and exposing the wrist when tasks involve reaching and other movements. Needlestick level 5 sleeves provide the highest level of protection against accidental needlesticks. They also have an ANSI/ISEA A4 cut-level rating to protect hands from medium cut hazards such found when performing automotive assembly tasks, installing HVAC ductwork, and handling light glass, light raw materials, and light stamped metal.Brands
