Integrated-Rescue Self-Retracting Lifelines

5 products
Integrated-rescue self-retracting lifelines (SRLs) can be used to raise or lower workers if they fall while working in a high place. The SRLs connect a worker's full-body safety harness to an anchor point on a building or structure to stop the worker from free-falling and help reduce the risk of injury in the event of a fall. They attach to the D-ring on the back (dorsal) of the worker's safety harness and extend and retract as the worker moves freely. If the worker starts to fall, the SRL will brake suddenly to stop the fall and absorb its energy. SRLs let the worker move farther away from the anchor point than would be possible with a shock-absorbing lanyard. They typically stop a fall within 2 to 4 ft. and require less fall clearance than a shock-absorbing lanyard. Integrated-rescue SRLs are used in wind energy, emergency, confined space, and oil and gas industry applications where standard ground or descent rescue is difficult or dangerous.

Sealed Mounted SRLs for Harsh Environments

Sealed Mounted SRLs for Harsh Environments
Sealed mounted integrated-rescue self-retracting lifelines (SRLs) for harsh environments are sealed to ensure no dirt, particles, or contaminants can enter the lifeline's braking system and damage it. Mounted SRLs are generally left mounted in place on the anchor point. Some mounted SRLs come with a tag line that helps workers reach the SRL from the ground. Sealed mounted SRLs are typically used outdoors or in dirty environments, such as in food processing, water treatment, painting, and railroad applications.
