Fall rescue and descent equipment is used to raise, lower, and aid in rescuing workers who have fallen. It is installed and used wherever workers need fall protection and might encounter a fall hazard, such as bridge and building construction. Self-rescue equipment is worn by workers so they can raise or lower themselves without assistance. Assisted-rescue equipment is operated by another person who raises or lowers a non-responsive worker or a worker who cannot operate the equipment themselves.

Rope Termination Plates
Rope termination plates provide a way to attach a rope lifeline to a fall-rated anchor point so the rope can be used as a lifeline. A fall-rated carabiner attaches one end of the plate to the anchor point and the rope threads through the other end. Rope termination points provide a temporary tie-off without using a knot that can reduce the strength of the rope.
