Jaw Couplings

Available63 products
Jaw couplings connect the shaft of a motor, or moveable machine to the shaft on a stationary machine. Two jaws interlock around a jaw-coupling spider to create a complete coupling. Straight jaw couplings are suitable for most industrial applications, while curved jaw couplings are suitable where zero backlash is required, such as stepper or servo motor applications where precise motion control is needed.

High-Torque Straight Jaw Spiders

High-Torque Straight Jaw Spiders
High-torque straight jaw spiders isolate and interlock the jaws on two coupling hubs made of consumable materials, maintaining a rigid connection in high torque applications.

Rubber

Rubber is soft and promotes quiet operation with good resistance to oil.

High-Torque Straight Jaw Coupling Hubs

High-Torque Straight Jaw Coupling Hubs
High-torque straight jaw coupling hubs are machined to tight tolerances to cope with high torque loads. They attach to motor and equipment shafts using a set screw or keyway. Two couplings of the same size lock together with a compatible high torque straight jaw spider.
