Brakes and clutches control motion and start and stop loads while the motor is running. Brakes slow and stop motion on lathes, conveyors, and other machining and material handling equipment. Clutches allow the motor to be disengaged and power no longer supplied to the equipment without turning the motor off.
Brakes
These brakes are designed for use in power transmission applications. They help to engage and hold loads to inhibit motion. Models are available for use with conveyors, packaging machines, hoist end-trucks, security/toll booth gates, and sorting machines.
Clutches/Brakes
Clutch and Brake modules offer high-performance starting and stopping of loads, with the motor running. Brakes help to inhibit motion, and clutches help to transfer motion from one component to another while engaged. Designed for use with industry standard motors and reducers with v-belts, pulleys, chain, sprockets, couplings, and timing belts.
