V-belt pulleys are used with a compatible V-belt to transmit mechanical rotating power to a shaft. The V-shaped grooves in a V-belt pulley prevent slippage and misalignment and provide maximum friction and torque in a drive system. They are found in many rotating mechanical power applications such as fans, pumps, air compressors, and conveyors.

Fixed-Bore Composite V-Belt Pulleys
Fixed-bore composite V-belt pulleys have a finished bore, or center hole, that is machined to a set diameter to insert a shaft of the same size. They are ready to install with machined keyways and/or set screws to secure the shaft and prevent slipping. Composite pulleys are constructed of fiberglass-reinforced nylon that withstands high temperatures and abrasion. They are lightweight, corrosion resistant, and are often used in conveyor applications that require washdown.
