Air Cylinders

22 products
Choose from a broad air cylinder selection at Grainger. Whether the piston is a disc or a cylinder, each pneumatic cylinder is designed to transfer force to move an object when compressed gas expands if the gas is at a greater pressure than the atmospheric pressure. This powerful mechanical force powers pneumatic cylinders to move a piston in a specific direction. Shop a large air cylinder selection at Grainger today.

Double Acting Aluminum NFPA Air Cylinder, NFPA MX5/MS4 Mount

Double Acting Aluminum NFPA Air Cylinder, NFPA MX5/MS4 Mount

Featuring an industry-standard footprint, these extruded cylinders allow interchangeability with other NFPA-style cylinders of either tie-rod or extruded construction. Advantages include a clean appearance and fewer spaces for dirt and debris to collect. The cushions are standard and adjustable at both ends on 7" and larger stroke lengths.

  • Max. operating pressure: 250 psi
  • Operating temp. range: -10° to 165°F

Double Acting Aluminum Rodless Air Cylinder, Tapped End Caps Mount

Double Acting Aluminum Rodless Air Cylinder, Tapped End Caps Mount

Made from corrosion-resistant aluminum, these rodless cylinders require 50% less operating space than typical piston rod-type cylinders because the stroke is contained within its own envelope. Standard adjustable cushions decelerate the load at the end of the stroke. Mount vertically or horizontally, using pretapped holes in the end caps. Optional foot mounting hardware is available separately to bolt the cylinder firmly in place.

  • Max. operating pressure: 116 psi
  • Ambient temp. range: -22° to 176°F

Double Acting Aluminum NFPA Air Cylinder, Bottom Tap Mount

Double Acting Aluminum NFPA Air Cylinder, Bottom Tap Mount
These permanently lubricated, heavy-duty, double-acting air cylinders are designed for applications requiring guided movement when it is critical that the piston rod not rotate. Two piston rods prevent rods from twisting and turning off the axis, providing reliable, repeatable linear motion with no need for external guides. Cylinder bearing wear is also minimized by the nonrotating twin-rod design. The high-tensile strength aluminum cylinders have chrome-plated, polished steel piston rods, high-strength steel tie rods, cast-iron rod bearings, and U-cup piston cylinders.
