Pipeline strainers remove debris from the material flowing through piping systems to protect pumps, meters, valves, and other similar equipment from clogging and damage. Suction diffuser strainers have veins on their discharge side that diffuses water flowing into a pump. This decreases turbulence and eliminates the need for installing an elbow and a reducer between the supply pipeline and the pump's inlet. Suction diffuser strainers are used in the process, power, and chemical industries. Temporary strainers are used on new or revamped piping systems carrying water, oil, and other liquids. They are primarily used for new pipeline startup or in applications where solid loading is minimal.
