- Low-arc-spout faucets have short spouts that sit close to the sink basin. They are frequently used on high-traffic sinks because they minimize the distance water travels from the spout to the sink, which reduces splashing. Dual-dome-lever-handle faucets have two rounded, dome-shaped handles with a small wing or triangle lever protruding from one side. This wing provides leverage when gripping these handles and turning them to start or stop the flow of water through the faucet. Each handle is operated separately to control the hot and cold water supplies and adjust the temperature of the water flowing from the spout.
