Bulkhead fittings connect pipes, valves, and spigots to tanks to form an inlet or outlet for fluids to flow freely for draining and filling. These fittings are also used to distribute fluids through piping systems in industrial and agricultural applications.

These through-wall fittings are constructed of CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) which resists corrosion, chemicals, highly chlorinated water, and provides a higher resistance to heat than PVC (polyvinyl chloride). They install through the wall of the tank, drum, or fluid container by inserting the shaft through the hole of the tank from the inside so that the shaft is sticking out of the tank. A gasket seals the internal fitting as a nut is threaded onto the exposed shaft to secure it to the tank.
