Spray paints come in varying sheens and in metallic spray options that are designed to withstand the elements over a long period of time. They are either general purpose, premium (such as chalk), rust preventive or rust restorative. These paints can be used for almost any material including hand rails, parts manufacturing, furniture, and as machinery coatings. They leave a smooth, even coat on any surface they cover. Premium spray paint has more resin than general purpose sprays. The extra resin allows for faster, more even coverage so that less paint can be used during the painting process. Some premium spray paints, such as solvent-based sprays, do not require pre-priming on most surfaces. They also resist and repel moisture that could lead to chipping and cracking.
General Purpose Spray Paints
General purpose spray paints cover a variety of surfaces and materials with a smooth, even coat. They have less resin and wider spray nozzles than premium paints, allowing them to be used on any paintable material, indoors or outdoors.
