Epoxy floor coatings are applied to surfaces in commercial shops, garages, labs, factories, building lobbies, and similar settings to protect them from damage or adapt them for specific environments. Epoxy coatings are typically used to protect concrete floors and equipment surfaces from damage. Epoxies are extremely hard and wear-resistant, and they bond quickly to surfaces. They are commonly used on floors in high-traffic areas. They may be applied as a single component product or as three separate coverages.

Multi Component Epoxy Systems
Multicomponent epoxy floor coatings are two-part epoxy floor coatings that cure by an exothermic reaction when both parts are mixed. There are three main types of epoxy; water based, solvent based, and 100% solids. Solvent based floor coating systems are for large scale, quick applications in medium duty environments. Water-based epoxies work well as a penetrating first coat and in low-to-medium duty areas, or in live-working areas. The 100% solids epoxies are designed for industrial floors requiring excellent abrasion and chemical resistance.
